When I read the main theme of IT Ends With Us Book, I found Lily and I in a similar situation.
I had a rough childhood with an abusive father.. This connection urges me to read the book.

Theme Of It Ends With Us
The theme of “It ends with us book” revolves around the cycle of abuse. It ends with us book is mainly about breaking the cycle of abuse.
The book tells us that it is not easy to always bear the abuse . It also explains that the abusive partner is not the monster at all, they can be charming, loving and be your best friend if loved by heart.
The title of the book clearly shows that “IT ENDS WITH US” which indicates that you have the power to end the hate and choose yourself a new beginning. Your next generation will also be grateful for you act.
Synopsis Of IT Ends With Us
The main character of the book is “Lily Bloom”, a young women who moved to Boston(City in Massachusetts) in order to start her own business.
She had a rough and abusive childhood because of her father abusive nature towards her mom. She always wonder she would be in a relationship like that.
When she moved to Boston she met a successful neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid. In a very short time, they start a relationship.
However, when time passes, Lily began to see the abusive and angry side of Ryle. He is man of short temper and she started to see the reflection of her father in Ryle. Yes, she love him but she also feel scared and trapped with him.
Meanwhile, her teenage love, who us a homeless boy named Atlas Corrigan, unexpectedly came in her life. After she met Atlas she is going feel the love they share at that time.
The story began here, when she have to decide either she wants to live with the man she loves who is also hurting her. Or either she have the courage to yourself and leave him for sake of herself.
My Personal Review
This book was amazing, one of my favorite books I’ve read this year. This is the first Colleen Hoover book that I’ve read and I know it won’t be my last.
I know so many people love her books and I can tell why. This book is partly based on her mom’s story (it’s still a work of fiction) which I didn’t know about until I finished the book and read the author’s note at the end (don’t skip that part!).
The only thing I knew about the book before I read it was that I needed to have some tissues handy. Let me tell you people were right, I was sobbing when I finished this book.
I am hesitant to say much about the story because I think its best to read it not knowing much about it. Please read the content warnings before deciding to read this book, it covers some heavy topics but in my opinion they were well executed.
